The PIANO SCHOOL of Gaithersburg, Maryland (PSG) offers private and group instruction in piano and keyboard to children and adults of all ages and levels in the beautiful Goshen Hunt community of Gaithersburg-Laytonsville. We also serve nearby communities of Washington DC Metropolitan Area, Germantown, Montgmery Village, Damascus, Clarksburg, Rockville, Silver Spring, Bethesda and Potomac.

The Piano School would like to introduce you to our outstanding students with these excerpts from some of our social gatherings and performances, filled with music, fun and laughter. We thank all of our parents for their help and support at the LakeForest Mall Performance of our Ensemble groups,at our annual Halloween Musicale and Party, and at our recitals at BlackRock Center for the Arts.

PSG offers many performance opportunities. All students have the opportunity to perform in two major recitals per year as well as in small group musicales. Students may participate in the National Guild of Piano Teachers' annual auditions. Opportunities are available for qualified students to enter various events including festivals and competitions sponsored by local, state and national Music Teachers Associations.

GOAL:
Our goal is to help each student succeed in understanding music and learning to play the piano to the best of his/her ability while expanding the student's intellectual curiosity and artistic creativity.
MISSON:
The PIANO SCHOOL has a four-fold mission:
(1) encourage and motivate students in pursuit of excellence in their piano education
(2) develop in each student a lifetime passion for music and the arts
(3) develop confident, poised students who are knowledgeable and skilled in their craft
(4) provide performance opportunities for each student
The PIANO SCHOOL is committed to top quality piano instruction. Valuing each student for his/her unique abilities and potential, the curriculum is customized for each student and includes a variety of methods, literature, and styles. Performance opportunities are available for all students. Students are encouraged to share their music with others through recitals, master classes, festivals, auditions, accompanying opportunities.

Words From The Director of The Piano School:
Throughout my life I have been blessed with the finest piano teachers and a wonderful family, who instilled in me a great love of music. My desire is to share this passion of music with all my students and to pass down this rich heritage to inspire a new generation of musicians. Music develops compassion and sensitivity. Music makes the world a better place and promotes peace and joy. Music study develops our character: patience, perseverance, courage, and generosity. All these positive gifts of music lead to a successful, productive life.
